Background
This website was part of the NGIS (National Geographic Information System) project supported by Instituto Português de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento (IPAD), developed by ICIST/GERTiL for Direcção Nacional de Terra e Propriedade (DNTP).

Feedback
At the moment, the website is being maintained on voluntary basis by ICIST (Instituto Superior Técnico) in connection with DNTP and the informal Geographic Information Group. Previously, the website was maintained on a voluntary basis by ICIST . The vision is that the portal will be passed on to the Government of Timor-Leste or other Timorese institutions interested in its management and maintenance.

Please help us by to continue the operation by sending some feedback and information on what projects are using these datasets or maps.

Future
The portal will be moved to a faster server in June 2010, supported by the company SIQuant, and the layout and functionalities substantially modified.
