The cooperation with East Timor has mobilized many human and financial resources, which  demonstrates the increasing value of the development of a National Geographic Information System.Â

This system intends to:Â

• give privilege to the complete covering of the territory for each one of the data sets;
• build a consistent base with all the themes, guaranteeing that all the subjects are overlaid with precision;
• apply quality standards to the information, thus promoting the future use of the data.
